VFW Post 6740 Supports VAlanthropyÂ
On June 2, VAlanthropy visited VFW Post 6740 to share the mission and progress of Hidden Wounds Village- Alpha.
The conversation focused on the need for permanent affordable housing for veterans and the role local veteran organizations can play in creating dependable community support.
VFW Post 6740 showed its support by sponsoring VAlanthropy’s information table at the VFW Convention on June 19 and 20.
The table allowed VAlanthropy to connect with veterans, VFW leaders, auxiliary members, families, and community supporters. Our team shared information about Hidden Wounds Village- Alpha, a 12-unit community of permanent, affordable one-bedroom apartments for veterans in Sumter, South Carolina.
VAlanthropy serves as the lead developer and infrastructure builder for Hidden Wounds Village- Alpha. Construction funding is covered. Current support helps furnish the apartments, excluding appliances, and provide dependable funding for long-term administration, stewardship, partnership coordination, and continued sustainability.
We thank VFW Post 6740 for investing in awareness and connection for South Carolina veterans.
