VAlanthropy is committed to responsible stewardship, transparency, and accountability.

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, VAlanthropy works to ensure that donors, partners, grantmakers, community members, and the public can understand how the organization is structured, how charitable resources are managed, and how our work supports our mission.

Our Commitment to Transparency

VAlanthropy is committed to:

  • Maintaining accurate financial and organizational records.
  • Using charitable contributions in accordance with donor restrictions and approved organizational priorities.
  • Providing required public documents in accordance with applicable law.
  • Maintaining appropriate governance and financial oversight.
  • Communicating verified project progress and funding needs honestly.

VAlanthropy leads the development, infrastructure, construction, furnishing, and long-term sustainability of Hidden Wounds Village Alpha and is responsible for maintaining clear and accurate information regarding the organization’s role in the project.

Publicly Available Documents

Certain nonprofit documents are available for public inspection as required by law.

Depending on availability and applicable requirements, these may include:

Restricted Contributions

VAlanthropy respects documented donor restrictions that have been formally accepted by the organization.

Restricted contributions are tracked and administered according to the purpose for which they were accepted.

VAlanthropy may decline a proposed restriction if it cannot reasonably be fulfilled, conflicts with the organization’s mission, creates excessive administrative burden, or is inconsistent with legal, grant, funding, or operational requirements.

Project Funding Transparency

Hidden Wounds Village Alpha is an active development project.

Project information may include:

VAlanthropy will not guarantee construction dates, funding outcomes, or project milestones until they are formally confirmed.

Donor Stewardship

VAlanthropy considers financial transparency an important part of donor stewardship.

Donors should be able to understand:

  • What VAlanthropy is working to accomplish.
  • How their support advances the mission.
  • What progress has been made.
  • What needs remain.
  • How VAlanthropy measures and communicates impact.

VAlanthropy provides donation acknowledgments and maintains donor records according to applicable requirements and organizational policies.

Donor information is protected according to VAlanthropy’s Donor Privacy Policy.

Governance and Oversight

VAlanthropy is governed by its Board of Directors and maintains organizational policies and procedures intended to support responsible nonprofit management.

Donor Privacy and Public Disclosure

Financial transparency does not require the public disclosure of private donor information unless disclosure is required by law.

VAlanthropy will not publicly disclose individual donor information, including exact contribution amounts, except when:

  • The donor has authorized recognition.
  • Disclosure is required by law.
  • The information is part of an approved sponsorship or recognition arrangement.
  • The donor has otherwise consented to publication.
